2 Marketing Must Haves - Leave a Lasting Impression and Social Media
There are certain people in the world that always leave a lasting impression. Mary Kay Ash was one of them. When you met her she would hold your hand and look you in the eye as she spoke to you. You always felt like you were the only person in the room.
Kevin Knebl, another of those people, wrote a book, “The Social Media Sales Revolution – the new Rules for Finding Customers, Building Relationships, and Getting Sales Through Online Networking”. He has built an incredible following on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

He is a leading authority on Social Selling, Relationship Marketing, LinkedIn and Twitter with a healthy dose of Inspiration, Personal Development, and Humor blended in for conferences, conventions, company trainings, and many other events. Kevin has trained hundreds of organizations and tens of thousands of professionals on the most revenue generating uses of LinkedIn and Twitter and has among the most Recommendations (if not the most) on his LinkedIn profile (1700+) of any of the 350,000,000+ people on LinkedIn. He also has a face for radio. ツ
According to Kevin, one of his secrets for creating connection - he writes personal notes to people. Networking is all about conversation. Most people collect friends on Facebook and then never talk to them or alternatively they spam their new friends. He said the biggest thing for him, is that he loves people and he loves to communicate. If you're looking to expand your reach, and connection is important to you; make it personal, get involved, talk to people.
Online Connection Can Have a Downside
Kevin shared that he had to stop calling his wife Karen, "Beautiful" on Facebook. Many of his followers felt they “knew” him and his family on an intimate basis. Always referring to Karen by saying "Beautiful" did this or "Beautiful" went... it got kind of creepy when she walked through their community, people started addressing her with “Hey, Beautiful, how are you doing today?"
Leave a Lasting Impression
Create a positive place for you friends and family to find you online. If there are things about your life you don't want known, don't put it out there, no dirty laundry. If your personal Facebook page is private and you communicate on your business page, you've got the ability to separate the two. No one wants to be “sold” all the time. Kevin shares positive thoughts and memes. I have never seen him write a negative comment, no negative news stories, nothing! Always uplifting, and when you leave his page you consistently feel better than you did when clicked through to it. That spirit is what makes him an irresistible media personality.
