68 Seconds of Pure Thought Can Change Your Life
What if, by focusing on possibilities, you could change your life. Affirmations sometimes can have a negative effect because while we are saying them, our inner critic is saying, "Ya, right! You idiot. What makes you think you can do that. You've never made it happen before. What makes you think you can do it now?"
If you can think a thought, one that maybe you really don't believe, and preface it with, "What if, I could...
- double my income this month?
- lose 20 pounds?
- take a vacation this year?
Then follow that statement with, "What would that...
- feel like?
- allow for?
- mean for my family?
- do for my health?
Using these statements cause a secondary thought that is looking for the answer to what if it is possible. The answer to that question will generally be a far more encouraging thought than what your inner critic would say. The process generates a shift in your energy because every time you ask a positive question you will get an answer. What if it really COULD happen for you. It gives hope and hope generates positive feelings. Abraham-Hicks always say "There is nothing more important than feeling good." Keep this process up for at least 68 seconds and you will see definite resul;ts as well as improving your mood.
We make choices in our day to day activities. We choose who we hang out with and who we listen to. Yet in a lot of cases our own inner critic is far nastier to us than the negative people we choose to stay away from. What is the worst that could happen if you tried this technique out for awhile? To be honest, I can only see a positive change using this technique. Please leave me a comment. I would love to know what you think.
