Choosing Intermittent Fasting, a Ketogenic Diet and PEMF Over Conventional Therapies
One of the items on my 65 by 65 project is to live long past my 65th birthday. When I decided not to use conventional therapies (chemo, radiation or surgery), I became my own guinea pig. I have tried everything including medical marijuana in the form of Phoenix Tears, naturopathic treatments, infared saunas, alkaline water, hyperthermia, Gerson therapy with with 13 fresh pressed juices daily, veganism, and a multitude of others things. However, even eating 3000 calories a day I kept losing weight. In high school I weighed about 125 pounds. When the scale showed 110, I cried. Being that thin devastated me. THe weight loss did not stop there. Before I went to France, in the summer, I was down to 101 pounds. At 5'6", I looked emaciated.
I don't go to doctors for anything other than blood tests to check my markers because I know, there is nothing that they can give me that I haven't already rejected. The last time I saw the oncologist, he remarked that I shouldn't be there. Puzzled, I asked why and he said he was surprised to see me albeit thin, but happy and energetic. He felt the prognosis had not been good when I was diagnosed and felt I should have had conventional therapy. He checked my lymph nodes which were fine and said, "Have a good time in France and come back for blood work when you get back." When I got back to Canada, the hunt was on to figure out a new routine that would help me gain weight and reduce the size of the tumor naturally.
Intermittent Fasting and a High Fat Ketogenic Diet
What works best for me, right now, is intermittent fasting (22 hours of fasting and a 2 hour eating window), along with a high fat diet consisting 10% carbs, 10% protein and 80% fat. Vegetables and fruits contain very little fat, with the exception of avocados and coconut oil, which I have been eating constantly. I have had to add some salmon, eggs and cheese to get the required macros.
Animal protein is inflammatory, so that is a bit of a problem. When I get up to 110, I water fast for 3 days to ramp up the ketosis. The reasoning behind this is that tumors need glucose and fasting and a high fat diet put you into ketosis. The body and brain work beautifully on ketones but cancer does not. The diet works and instead of having to eat 3000 calories a day to maintain my weight, I can eat 1750 and maintain or gain a little. However, I still felt I needed something else for the inflammation.
Omnium1 PEMF System
Enter a new technology, (to me, anyway), PEMF. I now have a way of dealing with the inflammation. PEMF has been around for many years and was developed by NASA to help astronauts dealing with the gravity free environment in space. It a low frequency, pulsating electrical field. I heard about it quite awhile ago but it did not make sense to me at the time. A friend lent me a PEMF mat to try for five days and I felt the results immediately. Research and testing has been done on this modality and the results are impressive. My insomnia and kidney pain disappeared. Along with the high fat diet, intermittent fasting and the PEMF, the tumor is becoming necrotic! So excited. In my mind, I am 100% healthy and am just waiting for my body to catch up with my reality!
Check out the Omnium1 System I am using. Yes, it is expensive. However, a long life has far more value to me than the money and I feel fantastic.
